Well it's been just about a month since GPP 2015 where I had the honor of assisting the lovely Lindsay Adler for her Fashion Photography workshop in addition to attending Ryan Brenizer's Wedding Story Teller/ Problem Solver Workshop. Both experiences were amazing. Lindsay's workshop was all about fashion photography on location and for 5 days I learnt a lot about people management, logistics and planning. We had a lot of gear as the workshop was very hands on which is always difficult to manage, but the main idea is that every student gets time with the lights and the model which I really respect. Lindsay is an award wining fashion and portrait photographer who's recognised for her bold and clean imagery and isn't shy when it comes down to sharing her style or techniques; which is one of the reasons why she is so incredible. From meeting Lindsay I've realised that to be on top of your game it's not only about being good at what you do, it's about being down to earth, rolling like a cool cat when any situation arises, and never ceasing to be passionate and creative. She's such a free spirit and hope to bump into her again soon.
Here are some behind the scene's shots taken with my iphone 5. We had two groups over the five days and visited Al Quadra Desert just outside of Dubai, Traiteur in Park Hyatt and the ghost town in Ras Al Khaimah.
Have a look at Lindsay's final photos below from the first day, I do love these shots...
Keep an eye out for my next blog post in a few days (GPP Behind the Scenes Part 2) which features Ryan Brenizer's wedding photography workshop.
